So, this are the results...
I have interviewed the main
organizer of the party, Supercoco of
Artifizial (Necropolis now). He is the
man behind all the organization, and
has also made the whole 3D animations
for the "Innergate" demo. Being a
Coder, a Graphician, a party
organizer... Can this man deserve us
some surprises yet?
* Ok, let's start the interview. Tell
us something about yourself: Name,
Age, function, etc...
- Well, my name is Sabino and I'm 25.
My group was artifizial for a long time
but now, due to the partial disolution
of the group, I decided to join
Necropolis as Coder and Graphician.
* Getting into the Party thing, Why did
you decided to built up your own party
instead of going to the Party IV in
Denmark as everybody seems to do?
- I was in the Party III last year, and
I liked it, but man, it's a 39 hours
travel, so you can be sure of getting
your ass plane at the end. If you have
money, and you can afford a fly, then
it's ok to go to the Party III because
it's nice to see all the new
productions at the time of their
releases, but if you have no money as
me... When you have no money and you
want to go to a party, your head starts
thinking, and that was the way we did
the first Euskal Party. It was
something like a proof; Held in August,
it was a suscessful party with only
about 100 people, who were enough for
the propaganda we did.
Then, we thought about making the
party in december instead of August and
so, the rest you know...
* Didn't you see it too dangerous? I
mean, what if you don't get sufficient
money for the prices?
- Yes, you are right, it's quite
dangerous, but as I have said before, I
had no money, so I looked for some
sponsors, and, surprisely, they liked
my idea and they support me, but only
with a little contribution. This, and
the entrance fee, was enough to cover
all the prices.
* Do you feel satisfied with the
result?
- Yes, but we can get it better next
time. People call me now and they tell
me that they have enjoied the party
very much, but as I'm an organizer, I
can see some troubles which they don't
see. Anyway, as I said, we'll do it
better next time, even if this time it
was quite sucessful.
* I know the productions presented were
only a few. Do you feel a bit
disapointed for this fact?
- No, not at all. At the begining, we
thought that there will be more
contributions, I mean, It was ment to
be 7 demos released, but only 3 got
released. Instead of that, we spected
only 4 intros and we got 6. I don't
think too much about the productions
anyway...
* When will the Euskal Party III be
held?
- We are thinking in December again,
but this time between the 6th and the
11th.
* What do you think about the Spanish
scene? Is to organizate a Party worth
the pain?
- Well, there are not a lot of groups
who do productions quite often, and the
groups who do productions have too much
people. Maybe if a group had 2 coders
instead of having 5, there will be
another group (simply maths?). Anyway,
it's worth the pain to organize a
party, because it's good to raise up
the Amiga scene, it's for sure.
* Well, this is the end of the
interview... Do you want to send any
special message or something like?
- No, I only want to thank every people
who got to the party and remember to
the people abroad that they can come to
the next Euskal Party too. Thanks.
